A global leader in the mobile device industry, HTC unveils HTC Detour a film on cycling that has a twist. Released to coincide with the racing season’s finest of all races, the Tour de France, the film encourages people to use their bikes to discover new things in their surroundings through a different means.

The film follows the HTC Detour team that includes cycling professionals like Erik Zabel the record breaking German cyclist and a member of HTC Highroad and enthusiasts from all over the world and sponsored talent. It takes you on a lovely cycling detour through the streets of Warsaw exploring unusual places to which most cyclists are not give access.

Filmed at night in Poland the film shows the HTC Detour cyclists riding and exploring ten hard to reach and unusual locations in Warsaw. Along the route the cyclists go through a car wash, a fairground, a tram tunnel, the underground, the Palace of Culture and Science, the famous PKIN building and a busy Warsaw flyover.

In addition to Erik Zabel, the cycling dream squad was made up of some of the sport’s most talented riders, including Leigh Howard, Charlotte Becker, Kate Colclough and Frantisek Rabon from the HTC Highroad sponsored team. Other professional riders included names such as John Shewsbury, Joshua Boothby, Thomas Ohler, Felix Mucke and Jakob Santos all of which compete globally in cycling disciplines spanning from trial, street to fixed gear.
