Solidifying Dubai has a premiere multifaceted destination for holidays Dubai Holidays have evolved over the past few years onto the world stage. Driven by Emirates Airlines Dubai’s growth began in the 80’s and 90’s and was initially thought of as an exotic destination best suited for the adventurous holidaymaker in search of something different.

But with increased construction of five star hotels the tourism momentum increased significantly and with the Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Dubai was placed at the top of the world’s stage attracting the world’s elite who always are looking for a hot new destination.

The momentum continues as some of the world’s largest international hotel chains are starting to capitalize on one of the strongest hotel markets in the world. For those choosing a Dubai holiday there is competition but only secondary competition and that only exists in Ras Al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi where an extended stay could be added after staying in Dubai.

Even places such as Bahrain and Qatar are still not as developed in the holiday market like Dubai and would not take any significant amount of the holiday market in the region. But Dubai cannot sleep they need to diversify from the sun, sand and shopping to offer family and corporate options including conferences to compete on the global scale with other leading global destinations.

There is also ample growth for Dubai holidays in the diversification into other offerings such as Financial and Health tourism. Dubai International Finance Centre and Dubai Healthcare City are two new initiatives that are attempting to diversify and offer something that has not been on offer in the region prior.

They started out wanting to revolutionize their trade and by accident found a new form of tourism that may help them make that global destination platform jump.
